Changing Hair Color with Photoshop

Hi,

In this quick Photoshop tutorial, I’m going to show you how to change hair color in a photograph. These are all technique we have seen before in previous tutorials: Selecting, Change Transfer Mode, Masking, etc…

How we achieve this result is by selecting out the hair, then applying a color layer to that selection and setting the transfer mode to “Overlay”… that way the new color will interact with the photo to appear as though the hair is green, or red, or blue… you get it.

Then using a simple Hue/Saturation adjustment layer, we can easily change the color to anything we want! Try unlimited variations!
